Anneke van de Vusse talks about the design:

Life is like a game of chess, with hidden obstacles, challenges, success and infinite possibilities. The lines of longitude and latitude section the globe like a giant chessboard and world icons can be interpreted as the chess pieces. Each square is unique to explore. It’s up to you to play the chess game of life because ‘it’s your move…’

miss wiz, at 5:48PM on Aug 8, 2005
hey arki great idea!! good luck

dealerkim, at 6:10PM on Aug 8, 2005
Cool bananas!

I love it. Its rather moving, and is a fantastic depiction of life as a teenager in todays modern day society.

Check mate. /dodgy joke.

1607, at 11:23PM on Aug 8, 2005
Not a bad concept, it's unique in the way that it relates with your life, but the chess board "it's your move" has been done too many times.

Still, not bad. Possible the best of out the "chessboard move" designs I've seen.

Ossum, at 9:30AM on Aug 9, 2005
Yeah it's pretty awsome!
I second Annis!
Oh and Kim.... you idiot!

Hi Arki!! This is great. A great idea and a really simple yet effective message. I love the global theme. Goodluck matey!!

alexvandevusse, at 4:39PM on Aug 13, 2005
Eye catching, stylish, thought provoking, it encapsulates the theme required and it looks great. I would love a T-shirt like this. Well done. Hope it goes into production.

grickles05, at 7:14PM on Aug 14, 2005
Simple but stylish, practical but still chic.
The monuments from around the world promote the sharing of cultures and harmony all over the world. Very nice.
Does it come in wasabi green? I love it!!

I haven't seen any designs yet that capture the theme of student travel and MOVE as well as this one

Davoo, at 9:20AM on Aug 18, 2005
This design has that apparaently simple x-Factor that oozes flair and class

Bretti, at 9:28AM on Aug 18, 2005
Address the design criteria fellas! This design shows how its done. Chic, pertinent and memorable.

Hardie, at 9:38AM on Aug 18, 2005
Its been fun looking at the designs. Some MOVE you. Some stand out. Think of the Nike tick or Apple. Compact and to the point. Well done Arki. You capture the essence.

AndyP, at 9:46AM on Aug 18, 2005
Existentialism is where you activeley try to determine your course in life by the moves you make. Student Exchange could be just the thing. There's some wisdom and encouragement in this design. Congratulations Arki!

KMeggs, at 10:00AM on Aug 18, 2005
Shaker design, Druid and Celtic design, design from primitive cultures. It speaks to us. Forge your own path. I love this design. GO ARKI!

SOXROXMIJOX, at 10:05AM on Aug 18, 2005

GOOD ON YA ARKI! I know good clean ideas and design take a lot of effort. This has come from that artistic nether realm which few can really access. LOVE IT!

Moza, at 5:42PM on Aug 18, 2005
Panache and verve. Not too much not too little. A good idea well executed.

Furst, at 5:46PM on Aug 18, 2005
I love clean design that also looks good. Well done!

Racka, at 5:52PM on Aug 18, 2005
You stand out because the design is compact and not splattered all over the shirt in some sort of melange. Its coherent.

Racka, at 5:55PM on Aug 18, 2005
Hey Presto and there it is. A definite statement. Good luck Arki.

Helen of Troy, at 6:02PM on Aug 18, 2005
Curving the board to represent the Earth was very clever.

Lor, at 6:02PM on Aug 18, 2005
I'm kinda suss becoz it looks like ur jus making diff uses to vote 4 urself?... wanka

horatio, at 6:09PM on Aug 18, 2005
lor i totally agree with you..... absolute ******

SuperSally, at 6:10PM on Aug 18, 2005
Dear Lor, coordinate some friends to vote for you and stop the crass abuse. Maybe you dont have a network of intelligent friends who care. Get into the spirit.

FesterBester, at 6:22PM on Aug 18, 2005
Be assured I see a great bunch of people here having fun and Arki is definitely not voting for herself. Some only know her slightly and they vote however.

Arki,Arki we love Arki, Even if she gets narki, We think her art is great, What, pray tell, will be her fate? This is simply a neat and wearable T-Shirt design. Good on ya!

Trev Baby, at 12:23PM on Aug 19, 2005
I even see a hint of the magic carpet idea in here. This design made me think and the more I thought the more design elements became apparent. See how many ideas you can discover.

Bung ni bec, at 1:46PM on Aug 19, 2005
G'day Mate! It rocks Arki, best of luck with it- it looks great!

horatio, at 4:29PM on Aug 19, 2005
i love it how you created these last six accounts to vote for yourself. top work!

untitled, at 4:40PM on Aug 19, 2005
howcome everyone that's actually said this is good has only commented once? scam.. only people participating in the comp should vote. by the way - ew, this definitely doesn't deserve to be in the top 10.

Noodle, at 4:55PM on Aug 19, 2005
why would someone create accounts to vote themselves may I ask?? When you have a good design and a great group of friends that support you, why do you need to vote for yourself?? YOU DON'T!!! Those who have said that arki would create accounts to get votes are mistaken!! Those who know arki, know that she doesn't need to do something like that to get votes!
Arki your design is fantastic! You definately deserve the win!
