Concept statement

When first conceptualizing for the shirt, I thought about how easy it is to consider exercise as simple as walking to the fridge. However, society needs to endeavor beyond their comfort zones, working with their body to keep healthy, much like sailors in a ship to keep afloat.

Where in the world would you go to and why?

If I could go anywhere it would be the UK and USA, not only because of the inspiring sights but because the most well known designers, design firms and centers are there.

Favourite stuff?

Favorite stuff include Ed Templeton (Artist/Designer/Skater) because his designs aren’t limited by established standards, Moving Units (Band) because their music and beats inspire me to draw, and last but not least the all might felt tip pen, as it’s a method of expression and can’t lie.

Three people you'd take to a desert island?

3 people to a desert island would have to be Sam Neil (Actor) so he could tell me about all the shows he’d been on and things he’s done (I don’t know why, but he appears to me like a person who knows/done a lot), Arj Barker (Comedian), so he could bring laughter to the situation and take over after Sam gets tired, and James (Brother) so I have someone to appreciate the comedy and stories with.

What will you be doing in 10 years?

Running my own design firm or school and holding/sponsoring my own design competitions so I could support the future designers.

Why should you win this competition?

I achieve anything I mark out to do, I suppose that’s a good enough reason as any, but honestly I don’t think I should win, because there are more disadvantaged and harder working potential designers out there that deserve it more then I do.
