Concept statement

When I thought of the theme 'walk' it brought back childhood memories of playing with those walking bird marionette puppets you can get from the Royal Show each year. I had also just been testing Adobe Photoshop and drawing some random images, and one of them was a chicken. This resulted in the simple design 'Walk the Chicken'.

Where in the world would you go to and why?

I would go to Canada because the environment looks stunning, and the people seem really friendly and fun to be around. I've also heard that it doesn't get too hot over there, which is great because I prefer cold weather, especially when it snows! There is also the factor of it being next to the US so I could travel to see all my favourite bands :P

Favourite stuff?

My three favourite things in the world are music, sugar and Photoshop (Oh, and my family and friends of course!). I also actually really love school (I know, nerd much?) because I get to use computers that actually run Photoshop properly and don't freeze constantly like mine does!

Three people you'd take to a desert island?

I would take John Haigh so he could make me yummy chocolates and teach me how to make my own. Although I'd probably get a bit bored of that after a while so I'd take Ben Folds so I could have my own little concert afterwards, and I would definitely take Superman. I don't think I would enjoy being on a desert island much so he could fly me home when I'd had enough.

What will you be doing in 10 years?

In 10 years I'll hopefully be alive and happy to be finished studying. With a bit of luck I'll be working with an awesome company, as a desktop publisher or something similar, and by then I might even be considering starting my own business.

Why should you win this competition?

I would love to win this competition because my design is completely my own work and it is simplistic but effective. I think it would just be amazing to see my design on an actual t-shirt, however I'm just really pleased (and kind of shocked) to see my design in the top 10.
