Concept statement

I came up with the design to be light hearted because walking is not particularly a strenuous activity but rather a fun, brisk exercise that is best enjoyed with a friend. I chose the title 'Come Walk" because its inviting and not in your face. The character in the design is ready to go for a walk he just needs a friend to go with him, perhaps it could be you...."come walk".

Where in the world would you go to and why?

I would love to go to Japan home of the weird and wonderful. I love really interesting things, because thats what inspires me to design and it seems to me that Japan has alot of creative and talented people who i could really learn alot from, and it would be awesome to get involved in a culture so strongly focused on design and the future.

Favourite stuff?

item / pastime / person / food / movie / book / mag / band? Item: Computer. Pastime: Design and splashing in the waves of summer with friends. Person: anyone who can make a career out of what they love doing, I envy! Food: Sushi. Mag: Idn. Book: Concrete to Canvas: Skateboarders Art. Band: Moby, Sleepy Jacksons, Little Birdie, Death Cab For Cutie to name a few.

Three people you'd take to a desert island?

i would take Captain Jack Sparrow because hes well equiped at handling desert islands, I would take a chef and i would take Clark Kent from Smallville so he could use his powers to build a village quickly and get food for the chef to cook

What will you be doing in 10 years?

In 10 years I hope to own my own label or be working for a label designing T-shirts, Toys-both plastic and soft and have a book published maybe a children’s book and be living in a city somewhere in this world and have had an art exhibition.

Why should you win this competition?

it offers a great opportunity and an awesome step in the direction i wish to take. As in the question above i would love to be designing T-shirts so this would be a great starting point and to think that people would be wearing my design would be awesome. I spend every spare minute designing new pictures and developing them on the computer so to win this competition would mean that my hard work is paying off and that people like my work.
