Concept statement
The design came to me while studying my English class theme for the HSC ( physicals journeys ) , now one of the concept statements we where given in class was " It’s not the destination that counts but rather the journey to it" , so i got the idea to make this character look like they where about to embark on some kind of journey and eventually arrive at there destination, I used various mediums to create this design such as digital graphics in Photoshop and Illustrator and as well as Traditional art with the hand drawn parts.
Where in the world would you go to and why?
If anywhere i would love to visit Norway, mainly to see the Norwegian Fjords, as i am a keen photographer it would make some awesome shots, because from what i have seen in books and other things its looks amazing.
Favourite stuff?
I enjoy Photography and i am hopeing to pursue a career in that field; go surfing every now and then at my local, music wise i will listen to pretty much anything if it sounds good, i try not to stick to one genre since you are missing out on so much , Movies: as with music i have so many favorites it’s hard to choose, i really liked the movie American beauty and Almost famous Food: love home cooked meal by my mum, beats any restaurant Person/idols: the people i aspire to vary from time to time, but i would love to live the life of a travel photographer, traveling all over the world and photographing everything i come across
Three people you'd take to a desert island?
Hard question :P 1. Albert Einstein for deep thought 2. Kevin Spacey for laughs 3. Any supermodel
What will you be doing in 10 years?
I aspire to be working as a photographer in Europe, Why Europe? Well because its architecture is so old and has so much history and i would love to be able to shoot there. Actually i just hope to be able to sit down in a nice cafe surrounded by wood paneling and the smell of coffee beans, and look back a think "wow" look what i have accomplished.
Why should you win this competition?
I think this would really help me get ahead in life, a head start in to my career as an artist/photographer, since MYM is run by an internationally respected company it would look pretty dam good on a resume, Also now so many people will have a nice new shirt with a cool design to wear.
