Concept statement

My T-Shirt is a Vector Design and it relates to the theme of destination with the use of three different sized arrows pointing in the same direction supported with the phrase “One Way”.

I guess you could interprete my design as being a Sign of some sort which is pointing you in the direction you’re traveling.

Where in the world would you go to and why?

If i was given the privilege to win this competition i would like to go to Tokyo, Japan as an Australian Exchange Student. The reason for this is because i was lucky enough to be a host for a Japanese Exchange Student two years ago. From him I learned a small amount of Japanese Culture, History and their Hobbies.

After having that experience I am now intrigued about all things Japanese. I would like to go to Japan and learn more Japanese and experience their culture and lifestyle first hand. I am a huge Anime/Manga fan and the first thing i would like to do if i went to Japan is attend a Anime Convention.

Favourite stuff?

In general i like watching movies, visiting friends, going out, going to the city, checking out chicks and watching Anime.

Music: Anything catchy, funny, well tuned, interesting or that will make me listen to it twice.

Films: Kill Bill, Pulp Fiction, Reservoir Dogs, The Fifth Element, The Matrix, Donnie Darko, Unbreakable, Memento, Magnolia, Vanilla Sky, Serenity, Hero, Chungking Express, All About Lily Chou-Chou, Oldboy, Casshern, Snow Falling on Cedars, Once Upon A Time in the West.

Anime: Akira, Cowboy Bebop // Knockin' on Heaven's Door, Macross Plus, Gunslinger Girl, Voices of a Distant Star, Whisper of the Heart, My Neighbor Totoro, The Cat Returns, Laputa, Nausicaa, Full Metal Alchemist, Naruto, Fate/Night, Samurai Champloo, Love Hina, Samurai X, Inuyasa... a better question is what anime dont i like? Answer: None

Television: Family Guy, Scrubs, American Dad, Futurama, South Park, Firefly, House, Anime, Fawlty Towers, Bottom, The Godfather, Rome, The Sopranos, Lost, Prison Break, Simpsons, Mythbusters, 24, Buffy, Angel, My Wife and Kids, Chris, The Comedy Channel and The Man Show.

Heroes: Who else? the guy who invented Television and Computers :D

Three people you'd take to a desert island?

If i was ever stuck on a Desert Island and had the chance to take any three people in the world with me, i think my first pick would be Stephen Kings because he could tell us some awesome stories which will help pass the time.

My second pick would have to be Thomas Edison due to his intelligence therefore he may be able to some how invent some way to make electricity for us.

Hmm this last one is a tough decision, i could either choose Jesus or Jamie Oliver... I chose Jamie Oliver because he will cook us some awesome meals with the minimum resources we can gather. I would've picked Jesus because he can do miracles and stuff... but he would probably just try to convert non-Christians.

What will you be doing in 10 years?

In 10 years i hope i will be a very successful Graphic Designer living out my life in Tokyo, Japan. I may even decide to travel around the world and take my friends with me.

Why should you win this competition?

I think I should win this competition because not only is this prize a life time opportunity for me but it will also boost my determination to follow my passion as a Graphic Designer in the future. Not only that but winning this competition will give me many benefits, like reputation which will help me in my Graphic Designing career. I also think i should win this competition because my Design gives a clear message of the theme "Destination". Also my design is a perfect example of how Vector Art can be used for a T-Shirt design.
