Concept statement
The idea for ‘Key’ just popped into my head about…. 5 hours before the design submissions closed, so being the good procrastinator that I am, I closed the word file containing my Biology homework and opened up Photoshop. But what I am trying to say is that Passports your key to the world. They allow you to travel and explore the world outside your country, to experience other cultures, languages, cuisines.
Where in the world would you go to and why?
EUROPE!!!!! Why? Why?! One reason.... COBBLESTONED STREETS! I would go to Europe for all the boring reasons, the architecture, the history, the oh so pretty landscapes *drools*- but mainly the cobblestones. So, I guess i'd go to either France or Germany. France because.... it's France, that is self explanatory and Germany because I am part German... and know a lot more German than French, and I also want to go to Park von Muskau, and that is in Gemany. But anywhere in Europe would do me.
Favourite stuff?
Item/ My blue woollen jumper. I think I’ll die in that jumper I love it so much/Pastime/ Procrastination, favourite pastime of all teenagers and senior students alike, LiveJournal, PhotoShop/Person/As in person, or Actor/ess? Well, my favourite people are my family and my Happy Freaks. Actor wise, I <3 Rachel Weisz, Nicole Kidman, Audrey Tautou, Hugh Jackman, Gaspard Ulliel and in the world of literature, JK Rowling, Philip Pullman and Dan Brown (because his books make me laugh)/Food/ You can’t go past a good batch of Bread and Butter custard or a nice serve of Butter Chicken with a potato naan on the side *drools* /Movie/ MOULIN ROUGE!, The Interpreter, The Incredibles and any of the Bond flicks that you can think of/Tv/ Greys Anatomy, Mythbusters, Antiques Roadshow, Fairly Odd Parents/Book/ Can’t go past the HP series, or the His Dark Materials series either. Fantasy is gooooooooood and also Finding Grace. If you haven’t read it, go read it/Band/ The Killers, Madsen, Kyo, Ok Go, Starky, Something for Kate
Three people you'd take to a desert island?
Only 3?! … ok, I would clone Gaspard Ulliel (because he is sooo pretty *faints*) and genetically engineer him to be a genius in all the fields of science so that if I ever got into medical strife he could cure me or if I reeeeeeeally wanted to check me e-mail he could just whip up a wireless computer and, you know, he could train the Island’s monkey population to be our slaves, practical stuff like that. ALSO, Nicole Kidman, because she is made of awesome and she and Gaspard could put on plays for my entertainment. And finally, I would take Julia Zemiro, because she would undoubtedly have a wide range of hilarious statements pertaining to how she, myself, Nicole Kidman and genetically engineered clone Gaspard Ulliel ended up on the deserted Island in question.
What will you be doing in 10 years?
10 years…. hmm, I shall be… 27, living in Europe in either a sleepy country village or in one of the major cities… probably Paris. I will be driving down the Champs Elyesee in my Smart ForTwo and loving life as either an archivist, linguist, language teacher, art director, famous film star, famous film director, jeweller, special FX personnel or whatever I end up doing. But I will be fluent in at least 4 languages, that is the only thing I am certain to achieve in the next 10 years.
Why should you win this competition?
I should win because…. uhm…my design is simple and not overpowering. It delivers the message without and ambiguity. Also, the design is not limited to one gender, and can therefore be worn be either sex…. my design does not discriminate, lol. But of course, it is an honour just to be nominated.
