Concept statement

My design 'Run from the Mainstream' basically puts into perception the concept of stereotypes. It shows how one should be your own person and not one of the masses. 'Running' from the stereotypes basically means to avoid them. What inspired this design was the lengths the youth of today seem to go to, to fit in. I feel no one should be judged and everyone should fit in being an individual and not have the way they think or dress affected by the masses.

Where in the world would you go to and why?

I would love to go to Tokyo- Japan because it is full of colour, culture and inspiration.

Favourite stuff?

Drawing, creative writing, design, video games, comic books, cartoons, music.

Three people you'd take to a desert island?

A spartan, a french nobleman and a samurai.

What will you be doing in 10 years?

In 10 years I plan to be a graphic novelist or costume designer for theater and dance.

Why should you win this competition?

Leaving Australia for the first time will give me chances to see the world in a different way from another country and culture.
