Concept statement
I had just started with Photoshop CS and was playing around teaching myself how to do Lichtenstein style comic book designs. I was making the dinosaur image and the idea of “run” being interpreted as “chase” came to my mind. I decided to have the girl in stilettos basically to create humor as the design is for a sports-wear brand.
Where in the world would you go to and why?
Anywhere! I have never been overseas and I'm dying to go!
Favourite stuff?
Surfing it is my life, art and anything to do with it, photoshop, photography, screenprinting, skating when I can't get to the waves, fashion especially vintage and op-shops, frankie mag, travel and the world, thai food.
Three people you'd take to a desert island?
My mum because she is awesome, Hamish Blake, Big Bird.
What will you be doing in 10 years?
Hopefully living overseas for a while in either the US (California or New York), France or just here in Australia. I'd like to be an architect or designer and live in a fibro shack next to the waves. That's the dream.
Why should you win this competition?
Because I love designing things! I think that my shirt is straight to the point, different, visually intriguing yet simple and fun! To win would be a great start in the graphic design industry. Also, so I could maybe get the chance to travel overseas and experience all the things I look up on the net and in travel books every day. I always bug my parents about travelling but it is too hard and i feel bad so maybe this would make life easier :) Basically, I have been given an unbelievable chance and hopefully I can make the most of it and keep trying!

Student Exchange

Being an exchange student is a challenging, rewarding and fun experience. You're not a tourist or a guest. You'll attend school and live with a host family. You'll become immersed in the local community. Student Exchange Australia offers the following programs to Australian high school students between the ages of 15-18:
