Concept statement
In terms of my first design LIFES BLUEPRINT, it relates closely to the theme in that i‚” creatively portrays the significance of experiencing life and the world beyond our comfort zones. The entire sketch with its arrows, travelling stamps etc all demonstrate and show how experience is integral foundation of life. The things we collect along the way whether it be mere emotions or impacting events all build up to mark the pathways we create for ourselves through experience. Thus, the significance of one experiencing life is `everything` Lol..okay for my second design LIFELINE (lol another 50 words) the central theme of experience lies with the image of the lifeline that you can see between the words. It shows how to truly `live`, one must experience various opportunities in life which come with several results and conequences. This is reflected in the up and downs in this single lifeline. Finally, this image is then complemented with the words.. the bold imperative quality of MY LIFE and the scrawl underneath: my call.. which relates to the theme in that it is up to the individual to live their life the way they want to and the only way they can do is through experience.
Where in the world would you go to and why?
I would go to Japan because theres this attractive quality about its culture and life thats so starkly unfamiliar to the western culture thats quite prevalent here in Australia. Ive been studying Japan for about three years now at school and visiting Japan would let me have the valuable opportunity to experience the beauty and lifestyle as well as utilise the skills ive learnt and so on.

What will you be doing in 10 years?
Im not quite sure at the moment but Ive been thinking perhaps an English teacher in a senior high school in Japan. Meeting other teachers abroad like that especially teaching Japanese students comes across as an interesting and enjoyable experience.
Why should you win this competition?
I believe that I should win this competition because in both of my designs, I have designed them in such a way so as to portray and convey the way in which we youth perceive the whole concept of experience. Thus, since it embodies how young people see experience, it appeals greatly to them as they can obviously connect and relate to the design. However, in order to do this, I have used creative yet abstract funkyish images which evoke many different ideas...eg. a lifeline, as sketchy fan which can be interpreted in several ways as well as a blueprint/sketch of ones own life.
