Concept statement

My design is a visual play on words. One of the very popular saying you hear when talking about cooling the planet is 'reduce your carbon footprint'. Doing so means to recycle, turn off lights, use public transportation, take shorter showers, choosing environmentally friendly products, etc. With every one of us making little changes every day, we can save the planet yet.

Where in the world would you go to and why?

I would like to go everywhere! There's so much to be seen! But I'd start with Spain. It's a beautiful country with a wonderful culture, lovely people and amazing architecture; not to mention home to some of the greatest artists of the 20th century (Pablo Picasso, Salvador Dali,...). También estoy estudiando español y me gustaria mucho tener el oportunidad para encontrar algunos españoles y practicar la lengua :)

Favourite stuff?

I love all kinds of art - fine art, graphic design, fashion design, architecture, street art all make my list. I'm the kind of person that doodles all the time, too, which gets on some of my teachers nerves. I love meeting new people and experiencing new cultures. I love languages (my goal's to speak 10, my score's 3 so far...) Other than that, I love music (Keane is an amazing band), dance, chocolates and beaches :)

Three people you'd take to a desert island?

It didn't say anything about it being real people, so I'm going to take a practical genius, one who can keep us all alive and come up with some kind of transportation; an entertainer, to keep us all happy; and Picasso, because I'd love to meet him. And we must all be people that get on well together

What will you be doing in 10 years?

I haven't got it all planned out yet. I like surprises. But I'd definitely be doing something I love that's worthwhile, being happy, keeping everyone I love happy (hopefully) and just having a lot of fun.

Why should you win this competition?

I should win because I would love for people to wear my design and receive the message that it has to communicate. The design is memorable and effective, at the same time very wearable. I would also love the opportunity to study abroad with student exchange and gain the awesome experience it offers.
