Concept statement

Well basically the letters on the keyboard spell out explore. It is a a fairly straight foward sort of concept. I have a collection of old typewritters at home, so I think thats what inspired me.

Where in the world would you go to and why?

I think Antartica would be awsome, a good conversation starter, "ohh you will never guess who i bumped into when I was in Antartica..." Nah, i would really like to travel through Italy and see all the magnificent architecture and of course the food.

Favourite stuff?

I love spending my time with friends and family; going shopping, to the beach , movies, the general sort of things. Ohh and eating my toenails- just kidding.

Three people you'd take to a desert island?

Doesn't make much sense to go to a desert island in the first place, really. But sure, Cindy Lauper, B1 and B2 . B1 and B2 always seem to find their way out of trouble, so it's not as pathetic as it sounds.

What will you be doing in 10 years?

Why should you win this competition?

Well, i really wasn't expecting on getting this far, so I haven't thought that hard about why I should win....! Well, I travelled overseas for the first time last year and I have been busting my pants to go and travel more, ever since. Winning a international exchange bursary would be unbelievable. Someone would proabably have to pinch me several times so I would breathe again. But, there are nine awsome designers I am up against, who deserve it just as much as I do. So, it's all up to the judges !!

Being an exchange student is a challenging, rewarding and fun experience. You're not a tourist or a guest. You'll attend school and live with a host family.
