Concept statement

Well the first thing that popped into my head relating to the theme 'go' was traffic lights (cliched as it is). And since no one else had entered a t-shirt at that time i thought why not? i did want to make the design somewhat more interesting than your average traffic lights however, hence the snakey line and misshapen lights. 'Get going' is basically saying 'what are you waiting for? the lights green!'... which i guess you could say is symbolic of life...

Where in the world would you go to and why?

I would go to Italy (which i am next year) because its just such a great place and has an amazing culture to learn about. i mean come on, this is a country that gave birth to the Roman Empire (ok ok, if you wanna be precise then that was really attributed to the guy from Troy), gelato, pizza, a whole heap of different spaghettis, leading fashions, and the mafia. Hmm... so maybe that last one wasn't so good. But think of all the great food!

Favourite stuff?

Favourite food at the moment is definitely mangos! Favourite pastime is probably doing nothing... it feels great to have finished exams. Favourite book is a tie between Dan Brown's 'Da Vinci Codes' and 'The Art of Looking Sideways' by some guy... Favourite item would have to be my new bathers... I don't know about you guys but it's damn hot in Perth at the moment.

Three people you'd take to a desert island?

I'd take... Jamie Oliver (so he can cook the coconuts in many different ways) Donna Hay (so she can cook the coconuts in many different ways) and Betty Crocker (so she can cook the coconuts in many different ways)

What will you be doing in 10 years?

I will be breathing. I hope.

Why should you win this competition?

I should win this competition because i've put a lot of effort into making these designs, because it would be a huge strain off my family next year to win the money, because i enjoyed designing the t-shirt and because i hope others will enjoy wearing it. I believe i should win this competition because people voted for me, because the judges believe the shirt captures the essence of the theme and because i really want to get out and see the world, even if it is only Italy and France, so that i can grow and experience and share cultures in an increasingly isolated world. (wow... excuse me if i just sounded like a miss world entrant :P)
