Concept statement
Well.. At the time of designing this I was running out of time to finish up and hand in my application for an exchange.. I figured there were probably a lot more people out there in the same situation. So the theme is that time is really running out, but there are still open doors of opportunity, you just need to go on and take the step through.
Where in the world would you go to and why?
Japan, because ever since I started learning Japanese in high school and went there on a school trip, I have come to love the Japanese culture, people, food, and everything that embodies Japan.
Favourite stuff?
Music is what keeps me going. Without it, I don't know how I would get by - it is a major source of inspiration. My list of favourites is always being added to, but music has and always will play an important role in my life. The genres I adore are industrial, progressive metal, techno, D&B, trance, and ambient. My favourites include Mars Volta, Dream Theater, Goldfrapp, Zero 7, A Perfect Circle, Tool, NIN, Frontline Assembly, At the Drive-In, and Aphex Twin.
Three people you'd take to a desert island?
Trent Reznor for his immense talent and interesting history. Gwen Stefani, 'cause she is so damn funky. And Stirling Mortlock because he possesses a demi-god status in my eyes.
What will you be doing in 10 years?
Hopefully teaching high school students in Japan how to speak english, living in a tiny apartment in the center of one of the major Japanese cities, and hopefully enjoying it all.
Why should you win this competition?
I deserve to win just as much as the next person.
