Concept statement
Inspired by a drawing I once saw of a penguin with a mohawk, this shirt is about being original even if you're the only one who is willing to be different. A lot of people in our world act and live like everyone else, like penguins they are all the same, but it only takes that one person to go through life with a different attitude and to start a bigger change.
Where in the world would you go to and why?
Switzerland - so beautiful - and i'd love the opportunity to meet a chocolate maker named Kurt.
Favourite stuff?
Item: I am very much attached to my discman and cds, I am a very big music person; Damien Rice is the way to go. Pastime: Can't go any further than the movies, favourite being Lost in Translation. Food: Chinese & Chocolate. Book: To Kill A Mockingbird. Mag: Rolling Stones or any film magazine. Favourite people? My friends & family - but apart from that Alfred Hitchcock and Katherine Hepburn are very admirable.
Three people you'd take to a desert island?
I would take Damien Rice for his music, Bill Murray so I'd never be bored and Sofia Coppola because she is just so cool.
What will you be doing in 10 years?
I'm not sure what profession I'll be in - but hopefully I will be with all my friends, happy and travelling - and designing t-shirts of course!
Why should you win this competition?
Because I dare to dream! - seriously though, I think my shirt is a fun and easy way of approaching the subject of individuality and positive change. And it has penguins - that's worthy of winning too.
