Concept statement

The design just popped into my head randomly while I was trying to think of something original to enter. The bats are flying in from the distance (... or maybe they're flying off into the distance?). The trees and the moon are mainly props in the design to suit the somehow 'spooky' feel. I added the word 'fly' after I came up with the design. It seems to balance the spookyness with a more positive feel.... and of course it relates to the theme!

Where in the world would you go to and why?

Ohhhh the whole concept of travelling and experiencing new cultures excites me. I'd love to go to so many places but some of the main ones are Egypt because its history is so rich, Brazil because their way of life is so colourful and exotic, and of course Sweden because all the awesome bands seem to come from there haha.

Favourite stuff?

I really LOVE playing and listening to music. Some of my favourite bands/artists are At the drive-in, Jeff Buckley, the Blood Brothers and Muse. A person who is very special to me is my older sister. She is an incredibly amazing person. She has travelled all over the world for many years now and I admire that she is able to leave home and enjoy what she loves doing most. I really enjoy watching art house movies because theyre really wacky but I also like the occasional blockbuster... can’t really pick a favourite at the moment though hehe. In my spare time I enjoy taking photos and playing around with photoshop...it's always been something exciting for me to create and design things.

Three people you'd take to a desert island?

OKAY this is incredibly hard! ummmm I'd choose Will Anderson because I think he's hilarious so he'd keep me pretty entertained the whole time, my sister because she’d be someone that I'd be able to have both serious and fun times with, and Jeff Buckley to provide some awesome tunes....maybe around a campfire, yeh cant forget the music!!

What will you be doing in 10 years?

WELL whatever I'll be doing I hope its something that’s really fun, exciting and that has a positive effect on the world...however small (but ideally big)......and hopefully provides enough money to be happy as well

Why should you win this competition?

Umm well I don't think it’s a matter of why I "should" win this competition because everyone has created awesome designs, BUT, I'd really love to win this competition because I believe I have put a lot of heart and work into this design, and I’m proud of it! Travelling is also such a valued thing in my life because i think its important for us Aussies to travel and experience other cultures...we are so far away from the rest of the world! I would love to be given such an unbelievable chance to experience something unique and new. There is no doubt in my mind that winning this competition would change my life!
