Concept statement
I was playing around with some ideas in my computer illustration class and came up with using silhouettes of birds which represents freedom and fear by not showing the actual bird, and the barbed wire which can be associated with detention centres and restrictions in our contemporary society, putting it on a t-shirt was a great way of putting forward my thoughts of our world.
Where in the world would you go to and why?
I would probably have to say Japan, for the experience of visiting another country that doesn’t speak English, has a different culture and different religious beliefs. I have studied Japan at school for a few years and it seems like a really interesting place.
Favourite stuff?
Pastime: Listen to music, designing, playing lawn bowls with "Team Green" there delly. / Movie: My favourite type of movies are funny or horror ones, there is to many to have a favourite one. / Band/music: Jet, pearl jam, The vines and more
Three people you'd take to a desert island?
I don’t really know who exactly I would take but someone musically talented, a comedian for fun times and someone who could gather food and keep us alive untill we got rescued.
What will you be doing in 10 years?
I really like designing and would really like to be architect or anything else in the designing Industry. In ten Years i hope to be taking time off job and travelling the world.
Why should you win this competition?
I would really love to win this competition. The Student Exchange Australia progam would be a great opportunity for me to explore and experience the different cultures in the world. Good luck to everyone.
