Concept statement

I just had the urge to draw a person, and i wanted to express the feeling of happiness and freedom through her. Just getting out of your boundaries and going new places/doing new things/the whole excitement of it and the great feeling. I just imagined feeling free and having your spirit feel totally lifted and happy like it could just drift up into the air with the next breeze.

Where in the world would you go to and why?

I would go to Chile/Argerntina/Spain - anywhere Spanish speaking. I've been learning Spanish for a few years and want to be able to speak it fluently. Also i love latin and flamenco type music - i would like to experience the whole culture properly and i just feel i would have a lot of fun there; it'd be different/different people. and I'd get a cool accent hah.

Favourite stuff?

Green items. Music: The Libertines, Lauren Hill. Pastimes: Art, music, doing homemade photo shoots with friends, trying to surf. Food: Dark chocolate, fudge Movie: Girls Just Want to Have Fun Books: Waltzing through flaws

Three people you'd take to a desert island?

Pete Doherty from the Libertines. i dunno, some cool strabger for the second person. And Jesus because He would provide

What will you be doing in 10 years?

Either living in a beachhouse/apartment or an environmentally friendly house with solar panels in a shady tree area OR travelling around. Possibly doing photography or anything that is good fun with some cool friends...Smiling, all for jesus

Why should you win this competition?

I would really like to win because I would love so much to travel and be able to speak another language. I think being away from all my old influences would help me learn more about myself and I would be so happy for the whole year leading up to it and probably still after a year overseas because im sure some really good things and some cool new friends and experiences would come of it.
