‘Make Your Mark’ T-shirt design competitions

Terms & Conditions

Eligibility

To be eligible to submit a design entry you must:

• Be an Australian resident
• Be enrolled in an Australian secondary school.
• Be between 14 and 18 at the date of entry

To be eligible to vote you must be an Australian resident of any age. You may vote as many times as you like for the same entry but only your most recent vote will count.

To be eligible to enter or vote you must register with complete information via our dedicated web site: www.makeyourmark.org.au

Time-line:

• Design entries must be submitted to the dedicated website: www.makeyourmark.org.au by the deadline indicated on the prizes page of the current competition
• A two week ‘voting only’ period will commence at that time
• The Top Ten entries will be posted on the website within 7 days of voting closure
• The winner will be announced within 14 days of voting closure

Judging:

• The number of votes for each design entry will be tallied
• The 10 entries with the most number of votes will be announced on our web site
• A panel of judges will be created with representatives from Student Exchange Australia and the sponsor.
• The panel will assess the Top Ten entries and rank them in order of merit. The entrant receiving the highest rank will be deemed the winner of the competition
• The decision of the judging panel is final and no correspondence will be entered in to

Prizes:

• First prize is $3,500 towards a Student Exchange Australia Year Program, or $2,500 towards a Semester Program, or a laptop computer, and a Lonely Planet guidebook.
• 2nd prize is $2,000 towards a Student Exchange Australia Year program or $1,500 toward a Semester Program, and a product pack and a Lonely Planet guidebook.
• 3rd prize is $1,500 towards a Student Exchange Australia Year program or $1,000 toward a Semester Program, and a product pack and a Lonely Planet guidebook.
• The Top Ten finalists will each receive a product pack valued at $300.

Note: Participation on a Student Exchange Australia exchange program is subject to meeting normal eligibility criteria, acceptance by our overseas partner and the granting of a visa. Applicants should refer to the detailed requirements outlined in our program information.

General

• All design entries must be the original work of the designer submitting the design.
• All design entries become the property of Student Exchange Australia and the sponsor and may be used for commercial and promotional purposes.
• You may enter as many designs as you like; but only your highest ranking design will be eligible for inclusion in the Top Ten
• The winning design will be printed and offered for sale and all entrants are deemed to have read, understood and agreed to this condition
• ASICS may, at their discretion, print and offer for sale other t-shirt designs submitted as part of this competition
• Entries must comply with reasonable standards of decency and will be posted on the dedicated www.makeyourmark.org.au website
• Student Exchange Australia, at its sole discretion, reserves the right to reject entries that it deems to be unacceptable
• Student Exchange Australia reserves the right to remove entries from the www.makeyourmark.org.au website at any time
• Employees of Student Exchange Australia, the sponsor or members of their immediate families, are not eligible to submit design entries for the competition
