Student Exchange Australia and ASICS are delighted to announce the winners of the ninth Make Your Mark creative design competition.

First place went to Michael Ahearn from NSW for his design "Where ever they take you"

A panel of judges comprised of representatives from Student Exchange Australia, ASICS and EK Designs chose "Where ever they take you.." from the Top Ten designs which had been decided by popular vote by users of the site. The panel agreed unanimously that Michael's design "uses an interesting conceptual approach to portray the sense of destination. The panel was impressed by Michael's subtle use of colour and imagery to achieve this successfully whilst producing a very wearable T-shirt. Obviously, the popular vote has meshed well with our assessment."

Michael wins a $3,500 scholarship toward an exchange program or a laptop computer; he also gets an ASICS product pack jammed with goodies valued at over $300 and a Lonely Planet guide book.

Second place winner is Ashleigh Bernard from NSW with her design "New Cages". Ashleigh wins $2,000 towards a Student Exchange Australia program, an ASICS product pack, and a Lonely Planet guide book. The panel commented that Ashleigh's design "is simple yet strong. The contrasting colours highlight her message clearly. This is a fun design for a T-shirt."

Third place went to Clare Godbeer from NSW with her design "X marks the sport". Clare wins $1500 towards a Student Exchange Australia program, an ASICS product pack and a Lonely Planet guidebook. The panel commented that "Clare has cleverly embraced the theme with an historical perspective and executed her design with skill. The tones and layers she has employed assist her concept whilst producing a t-shirt that can easily be worn."

Congratulations again to all the top 10 finalists. They will each receive ASICS product packs.

Congratulations to Michael, Ashleigh and Clare for their success and thanks to everyone who submitted designs and took part in the ninth MYM comp. Each of these t-shirts will soon be available for sale for $25 including packaging and postage. To register your interest email us at mym@studentexchange.org.au.

The next comp will go live on Monday 18 December with a new theme. Click here to send through your theme suggestions.
